Pharmacokinetics of an Episcleral Implant

Objective
To determine the pharmacokinetics of a cyclosporine releasing implant for high-risk PKP.

Methods
Implant in rabbit eyes and perform drug extraction.

Results
CsA concentrations within therapeutic range (0.0012 – 0.06 ug/mg) at 3 and 72 hours.

Conclusions
Implant can be inserted during PKP surgery.
