Kinetics and Morphological Study of Syndiotactic Polymerization of Styrene with Metallocene Catalysts

Kinetics and Morphological Study of Syndiotactic Polymerization of Styrene with Metallocene Catalysts

Objective
To understand kinetic mechanism of slurry sPS polymerization and chain growth mechanism during polymerization.

Methods
Slurry polymerization of sPS and computer modeling.

Results
1) Made a mathematical model to simulate conversion and MWD.
2) Nanoporous membrane experiments showed the possibility to understand chain growth mechanism.

Future Work
sPS polymerization with nanoporous membranes
Precipitation polymerization with homogeneous catalysts.
