Magnetic Nanofactories: Programmable Synthesis and Delivery of a Molecule-of-interest at Target Cell Surfaces

Objective
Synthesis and delivery of a molecule-of-interest at target cell surfaces.

Methods
Assemble magnetic nanofactories. Use nanofactories to synthesize and deliver signal molecule (AI-2) to target cell surface (E .coli).

Results
Observed AI-2 specific cell response (reporter) confirms altered
phenotypic behavior and a functioning 'programmable' nanofactory.
