The cast10 list has an open subscription policy. The mailing list is
managed by Majordomo. To subscribe to the list, send the message:
subscribe cast10
Likewise, if you want to remove yourself from the list, send the message:
unsubscribe cast10
to the same address.
Please do not send requests to be added or removed from the
mailing list to the list itself. Also note that mail sent to
cast10-request@ench.umd.edu
will generate a response that gives essentially the same information described above.
The cast10 mailing list is moderated.
To post a message to the list, send it to cast10@ench.umd.edu.
If the moderator approves the posting, it will be forwarded to all
the members of the list. Messages sent to the list should have an
appropriate subject line and should be formatted exactly as you want
them to appear. To summarize:
The current moderator of the cast10 mailing list is
Raymond A. Adomaitis
who took over the duties from Professor James B. Rawlings
in the summer of 2000.
If you would like to specify explicitly the directory (or directories) in
which your email is to be archived, please include
Keywords: software,jobs,education,meetings,newsletter
as the first line of your message. Any or all of the keywords (except
for newsletter, which is reserved for the CAST newsletter) can be
used. If none is specified, the moderator will determine the archive directory.
Postings to the list are automatically archived and available via the
WWW at the URL
http://www.ench.umd.edu/cast10/.
In addition to the archive of past messages, the WWW site also has
links to a meeting calendar and lists of job
postings, software postings, and other internet resources.
The email traffic on this list is relatively low. Most messages are
posted in mid-spring and mid-summer during the weeks before the
submission deadlines for the annual AIChE and ACC meetings.
At its inception in 1991, there were 55 subscribers to the list.
The size of the list has grown steadily since then, and there are now
more than 825 subscribers.
