Post-Doctoral Fellow
Distributed Optimization-based Decision Support Systems
In collaboration with researchers from the Department of Computing
Science and two industrial partners, we have been undertaking a
research project on the development of distributed decision support
systems for large-scale operations. This has involved an
interdisciplinary group of 10 researchers drawn from mathematics,
computing science and engineering. The work has focused in three
areas: decomposition of large-scale optimization problems and
coordination of the resulting decentralized / distributed
optimization systems; post-optimality analysis of vector optimization
problems; and visualization of optimization results. The next phase
of the project will continue the work and expand the project to
include the use of various analysis tools to monitor the performance
of the optimization systems and diagnose faulty behaviour.
Currently, we are seeking a PDF with expertise in process systems
optimization and post-optimal analysis of optimization problems, and
who is interested in applying their knowledge to industrial problems.
