    Job Description
    DuPont Engineering Research and Technology (DuET) has a need for a Process
    Modeling Engineer in Wilmington, Delaware. DuET is an exciting and
    challenging organization that supports DuPont businesses in a variety of
    technical and business ventures to translate R&D and business needs into
    competitive processes, products and equipment. You will work with
    technical teams to conceptualize new processes and improve existing
    processes. You will identify new process modeling opportunities, define the
    potential benefits and cost, sell the work programs within DuPont business
    units, and organize and execute modeling programs to capture the benefits.
    The area of application will range from R&D projects to mature processes.
    You need to be a generalist engineer with a broad knowledge base,
    interacting with company specialists to acquire detailed knowledge needed
    for specific applications. Key responsibilities include, but are not
    limited to:
          Writing Aspen Plus flowsheet models
          Integrating a broad spectrum of chemical processing operations and
          creating new, custom models for unique unit operations
          Validating the models with process or laboratory data
          Applying the model to generate useful predictions and process
          understanding
          Documenting and communicating the results to the customer
          Influencing decisions based on conclusions drawn from the model

    Qualifications
          BS degree in Chemical Engineering
          5+ years of engineering experience
          Demonstrated experience in flowsheet modeling, using AspenPlus or
          similar modeling tools
          Good Knowledge of Aspen Tech products AspenPlus, Aspen Custom
          Modeler, and Aspen Dynamics
          Practical R&D or plant experience with multiple manufacturing
          processes and a broad range of chemical equipment
          Process control experience
          Demonstrated strong, broad technical engineering skills
          General knowledge of chemical engineering principles
          Ability to build and apply chemical process models
          Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
          Demonstrated ability to consult on technical issues
          Demonstrated ability to work independently or as team member or
          leader, as task requires
          Flexibility and demonstrated ability to prioritize and work in a
          multi-task environment
          Six Sigma Certification is a plus
