A research position in model predictive process control is vacant in CAPEC
(www.capec.kt.dtu.dk) at The Technical University of Denmark.
The research project is to be conducted in cooperation with 2-control ApS
and is connected to the research consortium “Model based control and
monitoring” funded by the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and
Innovation. The position is for 9 months beginning as soon as possible.
The research may focus upon design of the basic control structure underlying
a model predictive controller, methods for identification of process models
for model predictive and optimizing control as well as implementation of
efficient model predictive control algorithms. Part of the research can be
carried out on an experimental heat integrated distillation plant at the
Department of Chemical Engineering at DTU.
The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree with a strong background
in process control, numerical optimization, process modeling and nonlinear
analysis. Candidates with additional knowledge model predictive control will
be preferred. The candidate is expected to have a PhD degree and will
possess good capabilities to communicate in English (spoken, read and
written).
The salary for the position is set by the Danish engineering union agreement
for public positions.
