Beginning Summer 2007, The Fischell Department of Bioengineering will be managing the Molecular and Cellular Bioengineering REU Program. You do not need to be a bioengineering major to apply! You can continue to expect great research opportunities—you'll simply be applying through a different department.
We are pleased to announce that two of our chemical and biomolecular engineering faculty will be participating in this year's program:
Dr. Sheryl Ehman, who leads the P2OWDER Group, will be the principle investigator on an aerosol drug delivery project.
Dr. Srinivasa Raghavan, who leads the Complex Fluids and Nanomaterials Group, will be the principle investigator on a project called "Self-Assembled Soft Nanostructures for Potential Use in Drug Delivery."
For information on these and 10 other projects, and applying to the program, please visit: http://www.bioe.umd.edu/reu/.
