    To AIChE NCS members:

My colleague Mike Roco, who is the NSF lead in the government's National
Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI: http://nano.gov/), asked me to pass on an
invitation for your attendence at an informational program at the Reagan
Trade Center on Thursday, September 13. The all-day program of speakers and
exhibits is called "Small Wonders: Exploring the Vast Potential of
Nanoscience". (http://nano.gov/agenda.htm gives the tentative program.)

AIChE is co-sponsoring this program as well as presentations to Congress on
    the previous day.

The invitation to the September 13 program can be found at
http://nano.gov/invitation.pdf. In order to provide adequate seating, the
organizers request that those planning to attend please send their RSVP to
    RSVPnano@nsf.gov by September 7.

This program will provide an excellent overview of a very exciting and
dynamic field. I hope that many of you will be able to participate.
